Pizza Oven #4

To complete the base three supports were cut into the bricks, then a piece of hardiplank placed over the top. On top of this a top course of bricks were laid. More bricks are holding down the hardiplank while the top course dries.  The slab will be poured within the brick area, so that the slab is invisible from the outside. Slab pouring could occur as early as this weekend, which means the tricky part of actually building the oven starts the week after.

    Mostly I came here to say thank you for your brilliant suggestion re the fruit carving. I wonder if I’ll be able to say it with a straight face.

  2. Thank you. We hope it will be a pretty swishy job in the end. I’m not entirely sure that the oven bit has been completely designed yet though.
